“Harnessing the power of our numbers” is our mantra. With so many great blogs out there, we often visit and expose the same ones to our readers without branching out. Take a few minutes, explore a new site or two and hop around the Diva sites with us! Expires April 20, 2011.
1. Take a few minutes to explore new Double Duty Diva blogs. Be sure to leave a comment while you’re there.
2. Choose your favorite new site, one you have not previously visited or posted about, and create a quick blog post including the blog:
3. Send a Shout-Out on Twitter (and/or Facebook) to the blogger you picked to tell them, “You’ve Been Hopped” with a link to your post.
It’s only fair to give a big bunny salute to those who took the time to share your blog with their readers. If you’ve been hopped, re-tweet and thank the blogger who hopped to your site via Twitter and other outlets if you choose. Use the badge below if you’d like to blog about your feature.

The Double Duty Divas, a blog network and consultation company, announced today it will host the first annual Reviewer’s Retreat blog conference. The sold out event will take place at the Great Wolf Lodge-Poconos, PA May 15-17, 2011.
A first of its kind, Reviewer’s Retreat pioneers the “review blog” conference niche focusing exclusively on issues geared toward bloggers spotlighting products and resources on their sites. Conference sessions include “Review Blogging 101,” “Brand/Blogger Relations,” and “Nuts and Bolts of Review Blogging.”
“We’re happy to partner with Great Wolf Lodge for this inaugural conference,” said Cecelia Mecca, Double Duty Divas Co-owner and editor of Cool Baby Kid. “Hailing from the Northeast Pennsylvania region myself, I’m excited to bring bloggers to the Pocono Mountains.”
Bridgette Duplantis of Experimental Mommy, Double Duty Diva co-owner, reiterates,”We feel that it is important to discuss the issues and challenges that bloggers face when working with brands in order to move the genre forward and improve credibility. Education is key.”
Thanks to Reviewer’s Retreat sponsors, the conference is poised to offer value for bloggers and companies alike as they navigate constantly evolving relationships.
The full list of sponsors can be found at http://reviewersretreat.com/sponsors/.
Co-founders Cecelia Mecca, PhD and Bridgette Duplantis created the network in 2009 which has grown to over 700 members. By simultaneously cross-promoting member blogs and managing social media campaigns for companies, the Double Duty Divas (http://www.doubledutydivas.com) aim to strengthen relationships between bloggers and brands.

Recently a Double Duty Diva asked on Twitter, “What do you do when a company asks you to write a post for free?” Since most review bloggers who accept product to review do not charge for posts, we’ll assume for the sake of our poll this relates to a non-review post such as news story or similar pitch.
Looking for more poll results or blog tips? Or *gasp* you’re not yet a Double Duty Diva? Stick around and join us.

With nearly 400 members and growing, the Double Duty Divas have collectively reviewed thousands of products and resources and have a few favorites. From products for the home and baby to resources to grow and monetize their blogs, Divas are smart, savvy ladies who have choosen some of their top picks for the year. Each product or resources listed below earned multiple votes in a “Best of 2010″ Double Duty Diva poll. Congrats winners!
First, we’d like to thank our sponsors Storkie Express, Crazy Dog Tees and Sprout Pregnancy Essentials who made the trip toBlogWorld possible. In addition to our own session focusing on creating a blog network, the Double Duty Divas attended other panel discussions and wanted to share quick takeaway tips with our fellow Divas.
1. Define Your Goals: Every person you meet, every tweet you send has the potential to take you away from your goals if you haven’t identified them.
2. Know who you want to be discovered by and who you want to read your blog to better position yourself as a blogger.
3. Inspire, inform and interact in your posts to get readers coming back for more.
4. Be mindful of your reputation (what people say when your not in the room).
We are so excited to announce Reviewer’s Retreat, the first ever conference which caters specifically to review blogs or bloggers who review products and/or resources on their sites. Our goal, to connect bloggers, companies and public relations specialists, in addition to gathering the Double Duty Divas together, has been made possible by our co-sponsor, Great Wolf Lodge-Poconos, PA. A family friendly resort with the largest indoor waterpark in North America, Great Wolf is the perfect location to host bloggers and their families in a social media event which will enable review bloggers to refine their craft.
On Monday, October 11, 2010 registration will open at a special $99 rate for Divas with the conference open to the general public on November 1st. Whether blog owners decide to connect with friends or make Reviewer’s Retreat a family vacation, they will leave with real connections and resources having the opportunity to network with other “review bloggers.”
Get additional information about Reviewer’s Retreat at www.reviewersretreat.com and be sure to join us on Facebook as we connect and plan. Use hastag #RR11 on Twitter and get in on the action early since we’re keeping it small for this first annual event.
