The Divas Are Speaking at BlogWorld Expo 2010
At BlogHer 2009 Bridgette and Cecelia met in person for the first time having worked together on their individual blogs. With help from Renee, What Mommies Need, they decided to harness the “Power in Numbers” and join forces to promote and support each other as working moms with blogs. The Double Duty Divas represent moms attempting to “do it all” as their blog network expanded to include consulting services for companies utilizing their combined experience as review bloggers. Managing jobs, kids, blogs, promotions, campaigns, Twitter parties, and an exciting announcement (coming soon), the Double Duty name is as appropriate as ever.
With the success of the Diva network, Bridgette and Cecelia decided to bring their knowledge to other niche bloggers and will be speaking at BlogWorld Expo 2010 in the Intermediate Social Media track in a session titled, “Harnessing the Power in Numbers: Creating a Blog Network.” Excited to collaborate with others interested in harnessing the power of their blog network and connect with bloggers and companies, the Double Duty Divas will add Las Vegas to their 2010 adventures.
Two companies are making the trip from PA and NOLA to Las Vegas, Nevada possible: Storkie Express and Sprout Pregnancy Essentials. Having worked with both on campaigns in the past, Bridgette and Cecelia could not be more pleased to represent two companies that offer unique value to busy moms and mothers-to-be.
Storkie Express, a family business who have been offering birth announcements, baby shower invitations and birthday invitations– reviews on their personalized holiday cards will be featured on multiple Diva blogs in the coming months– is resource we are excited to share. Experimental Mommy noted the comprehensive pregnancy information on the Sprout Pregnancy Essentials iPhone app and Cool Baby Kid made it a top pick for parents-to-be. Both are more than happy to spread the word about this must for pregnant parents; Sprout’s pregnancy application for iPhone is the only one they’ll need providing pregnancy tools and week by week images of baby’s development. Coffee with the Divas, BlogHer 2010
Thanks to Coffee for Less and SunggStuff who provided our ladies with sweet swag (check out the customized reusable coffee sleeve) our first Diva meetup was a simple success. Amidst the craziness of BlogHer 2010, our early morning coffee chat was intimate and enjoyable giving us an opportunity to get to know each other a bit better. And while we’ve written on our own sites in more detail about the conference, we wanted to take this opportunity to publicly thank these ladies for spending their precious conference time with us and for all of the Divas we have yet to meet who make our network unique. And of course a big thank you to Corky & Co. and Escalate Affiliate Media Network for getting the Divas-In-Chief to BlogHer NYC in the first place.
